PPDA FAQS

The last word

Given that the development of this Precinct is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for the City of Brisbane – it is a publicly visible site, it occupies a strategically important location on the Brisbane River, it is adjacent to the CBD, it is an extension of the much loved public playground of South Bank, the community should have clarity regarding:

  • How development rights will be allocated;

  • Whether public land or assets will be leased or otherwise commercialised;

  • What public benefits will be required in return for private use;

  • How any commercial arrangements will be assessed and approved; and

  • How transparency and accountability will be maintained throughout the process.
