How to email your letter (takes 2 minutes)
Follow these simple steps to ensure your submission reaches the desk of key decision-makers who hold the power over the former Visy site re-development.
Step 1: Download and customise the email template
-
Copy the letter template into a new email or a blank Word document.
-
Fill out the fields in italics (such as your suburb, your connection to the area, and your personal story about local infrastructure).
Step 2: Set your email subject line
Make your email stand out so it is easily categorized by ministerial staff. Use a clear subject line like:
-
Keep the Visy site for Queenslanders
-
Urgent: Infrastructure Planning Needed for Kurilpa Peninsula
Step 3: Address your email
To maximise pressure, send your email to the Premier, and relevant Minister and the primary planning authority. It is highly recommended to also CC your local elected representatives so they can see the direct community pushback.

Copy in DSSB2 campaign so that we are aware of your additional concerns that you have highlighted to the primary decision-makers. We will keep the decision makers honest and follow through with media updates.

Step 4: Hit send!
Encourage your family, neighbours, and friends to do the same. The greater the volume of individual emails received, the harder it is for decision-makers to ignore our collective voice.
